Ocean Property Management Named Business of the Year

Wildwood By-the-Sea, NJ: Ocean Property Management Corporation received the Business of the Year Award at the 2006 Main Street Awards dinner. Michael Porch, Main Street Executive Director noted that OPMC was one of the first businesses to relocate to Pacific Avenue in Wildwood and help start the revitalization of the area that continues to this day. He noted that the company is recognized as a leader of the resort’s exciting renewal island wide.

The Business Award is presented each year to recognize outstanding business achievements over the past year or longer with a focus on businesses based on the Wildwoods’ traditional downtown commercial district. Ocean Property has become one of the largest property management companies in the area with twenty years experience managing motels, condominiums and condotels in Cape May, the Wildwoods By-the-Sea and Ocean City, NJ.

At the awards dinner, OPMC president Carolyn MacElrevey said, “We believe strongly that a company must give back to the community so, when we needed a larger office, we purchased property on Pacific Avenue as part of the growing movement to restore the center city business district.” The firm was based in a Wildwood Crest office for thirteen years before moving to its present Wildwood location on Pacific Avenue in 1998.

New Jersey State Assemblymen Van Drew and Albano presented the award at the annual dinner held at Juan Pablo’s Margarita Bar on Pacific Avenue in Wildwood By-the-Sea.
