All Ocean Property Managed Motels Receive GWHMA Standards Program Approval

Ocean Property Management Corporation is pleased to announce 100% participation by its managed properties in the Greater Wildwoods Hotel Motel Association Standards Program.

The GWHMA has taken a major step to move the resort's lodging properties more aggressively into the highly competitive convention and meeting market," said Donna Yost, Operations Manager for the firm's Hotel and Motel Management Division at the recent meeting with the company's property managers.

"We feel participation in this program is important for our properties and for the resort," Donna said.

Ocean Property works to maintain the highest standards for it motel and hotel operations. The success of their efforts is demonstrated by the fact that every OPMC managed motel met all requirements of Growth Properties Investment Managers, a Philadelphia based hospitality Management Company that conducted the inspections under contract to the Greater Wildwoods Hotel Motel Association.

All OPMC managed motels are certified as meeting the high GWHMA standards establish by the program and Growth Properties for cleanliness and services. The properties are certified for the year 2005 under the program. The properties will proudly display both their letter of approval and the GWHMA Standards logo on their Websites, the Wildwoods By-the-Sea Pass Key Website for convention and meeting bookings, and the property's print advertising in the GWHMA accommodations books and other print advertising.

The Standards Program was developed jointly with John Lynch and his marketing staff at the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority. It is designed to assist GWTIDA in marketing the resort by providing assurance to convention, event and meeting promoters that the resort's many small, independent properties are competitive with large franchise properties in other destinations. Convention groups demand some assurance that properties are clean and provide industry standard services. These groups look for brands such as Marriott, Hilton and Holiday Inn because the franchises conduct standards inspections. The co-op Standards Program provided by the GWHMA as a membership service will serve the same purpose so the resort's outstanding owner operated boutique and Doo Wop properties are competitive with those franchises.

In addition to the obvious benefits of the program, the standards also support the Doo Wop movement to maintain and upgrade the Wildwoods' famous boutique and independent hotels and motels. Participation in the program is open to every lodging property in the resort.

Ocean Property Management congratulated the Greater Wildwoods Hotel Motel Association and its Standards committee led by chairperson Bob Paradee for developing and implementing this important program for the Wildwoods By-the-Sea. OPMC also congratulated all its experienced and dedicated property managers who maintained the high standards needed to receive the Standards Program certification.
